Review:

Bought this "mini-saw" used locally (through Craigslist.org) after looking for a compact saw for some time. I had been looking at a used Dremel saw as well as some other (new) mini saws from Micromark and Woodcraft, but found them to be too expensive. After taking a look at this saw, I bought it for $35... And - yes, this is a small, compact saw, perfect for trim- and small scale work. After cleaning up, replacing blade and lubricating all parts, I mounted it on a 3/4" plywood sheet so it can easily be clamped to my workbench. The saw was used, but not abused, so it still has many years of active duty in it.

I plan on using this saw for box making and for cutting segments for segmented and staved vessels. For the latter, I will be making a sliding jig.

The saw did not come with a saw guard (but it has the mount for it), so I am planning on making one with a built in dust collection port at the top. I will also be drilling a 2½" hole at the rear side and mount a dust port so I can hook it up to my shop vac.
